Energy & Fuels 2024 Excellence in Review Awards

Within the scholarly publishing ecosystem, the peer review process, during which expert reviewers play critical roles, is the foundation for ensuring and promoting the quality, impact, and excellence of published articles. (1−4) These expert reviewers donate their expertise and precious time to reviewing manuscripts, as a voluntary service to the research community. Since 2023, Energy & Fuels has established annual Excellence in Review Awards (5) to recognize the reviewers who have made significant contributions to the journal. The key reviewer metrics for consideration include number, timeliness, and quality of reviews over the past 12 month period. This recognition goes to those reviewers who have provided many technically comprehensive reviews in a timely fashion.
