The study evaluated the correlation between MetS and the likelihood of developing PD through the computation of aggregated relative risks (RR) and their respective 95% confidence intervals (CIs) utilizing selnRR and lnRR.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Seven studies were included in our systematic review. The meta-analysis revealed that patients with MetS have a 0.3-fold increased risk of developing PD (p = 0.001). Association between metabolic syndrome and the risk of Parkinson's disease: a meta-analysis.
