In this qualitative study grounded in phenomenology and utilizing a purposive sampling approach, data were collected online from 82 women living abroad through a structured interview form, and thematic analysis was employed for evaluation. The participants' migration decisions revealed six sub-themes and two main themes. Perceptions of the participants regarding their immigrant woman identities resulted in also five sub-themes and five sub-themes. Based on our findings, understanding the migration decisions and experiences of Turkish-origin women living abroad can contribute to a better comprehension of migration policies and society from a gender perspective. Perceptions of women of Turkish origin living abroad on being a migrant: Existence as a woman
