This review comprehensively examines the physiological functions and heterogeneity of neutrophils, their interactions with other immune cells, and their significance in autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, antiphospholipid syndrome, antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis, multiple sclerosis, and others.
