Although the effects of forest harvesting have been widely investigated, comparative studies can provide vital supplementary information concerning specific fields, including changes in soil microbiota structure and functioning. Our study examined the soil bacterial community composition, diversity, and activity of a mixed pedunculate oak stand over three years after clear-cutting based on 16S rRNA sequencing and substrate-induced respiration data. In addition, we conducted a yearly comparison with a control oak stand already in the regeneration phase.
