This study aims to characterize the alpha-gal conjugated lipid antigens in <em>Amblyomma americanum</em> (<em>Am. americanum</em>) salivary glands and saliva. Nanospray ionization mass spectrometry (NSI-MS) analysis revealed the identification of α-gal bound lipid antigens in <em>Am. americanum</em> saliva.
