IDENTIFIKASI PROPERTI PSIKOMETRIK SKALA KONSTRUAL DIRI UNTUK MAHASISWA INTERNASIONAL DI INDONESIA

Self-construal is a state in which a person sees himself as a separate identity or as an identity that is more connected to others. Efforts to determine the validity and reliability of self-construal scale for international students in Indonesia are important to do, considering that self-construal is very influential on various psychological variables in international students. One of the most commonly used self-construal measures in different countries is the Self-Construal Scale (SCS) by Theodore M. Singelis (1994). This study aims to determine the psychometric properties of the SCS on international students in Indonesia. Based on the analysis of 100 collected data, it was found that the modified SCS meets content validity, construct validity, and reliability. The modified SCS met the four goodness of fit criteria with RMSEA = 0.075, SRMR = 0.074, and NFI = 0.90 and CFI = 0.95. Then, the reliability of the SCS is seen from the AVE value, which is 0.63 for the independent self-construal and 0.53 for the interdependent self-construal. Overall, the CR value reached 0.96 for independent self-construal and 0.93 for interdependent self-construal. It can be concluded that the SCS is valid and reliable for measuring self-construal among international students in Indonesia.
