The study aimed to assess the relation between internal work coalitions and nurses’ work outcomes. Design: Descriptive correlational design was utilized to conduct this study. Setting: The study was conducted at all inpatients units of medical and surgical departments at Benha University Hospital. Subjects: A simple random sample of 317 out of 1539 nurses working at the previous setting. Two tools were used for data collection: (I) : Internal work coalitions questionnaire and (II) : Nurses work outcomes questionnaire. The study results showed that more than half of studied nurses (50.8%, 53.9%) reported moderate level of internal work coalitions and nurses’ outcomes respectively. Conclusion: There was highly statistically significant positive correlation between total levels of studied nurses' internal work coalitions and their work outcomes. Recommendations: Paying more attention to the vital role of the internal coalitions as a valuable strategy for upgrading nurses' cooperative abilities improving their work outcomes.
