Furthermore, the integration of biomarkers with companion diagnostics allows for personalized medicine approaches, tailoring treatment options to individual patient needs. We discuss the various types of biomarkers employed in drug discovery, including genomic, proteomic, and imaging biomarkers, while acknowledging the challenges associated with their validation and regulatory approval.
