Libraries need to become adept with blockchain technology to survive and ensure timely and adequate provision of information services to their patrons. The paper therefore concludes by recommending Nigerian library professionals to create a blockchain website, blogs and webinars to engage researchers, students and information professionals to harness their contributions to the development of a white paper.
