The present study aims to identify and characterize the major flavonoids in BLE. The identification of major flavonoids was carried out using ultra performance liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionization quadruple time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC/ESI-QTOF-MS/MS). A total of 31 flavonoid compounds were identified and tentatively characterized base on reference standards and MS dissociation mechanisms. The journal publishes work from scientists in Asian countries, e.g. China, Japan, Korea and India, including contributions from other countries concerning natural products of Asia. The journal is chemistry-orientated.
