We delve into the intricate mechanisms of efferocytosis' four stages and their implications in disease pathogenesis, distinguishing our study from previous literature. Our findings highlight impaired efferocytosis in conditions like atherosclerosis and asthma, proposing its targeting as a novel therapeutic strategy.
