The present study was conducted to know about the reasons of drug addiction, awareness among the people of Bandipora about drug abuse and the preventive measures adopted by the stake holders. 600 persons were selected at random from different areas of Bandipora. Among them 300 were male and 300 female. A questionnaire was circulated among them during the year 2023.
