The objective response rates were 32 per cent in the former and 35 per cent in the latter group, the complete response rates 6.4 and 21.8 per cent, and mean duration of the remission 7.7 and 11.2 months, respectively. Most responders had multiple metastases and had received previous hormonal treatment.
