Susceptibilidad antifúngica y producción de fosfolipasas en Candida albicans y no albicans ailadas en un hospital de Chiclayo, Perú
Objective: Determine the antifungal susceptibility and phospholipase production in Candida albicans and non-albicans in clinical samples from a hospital in Chiclayo, Peru. Material and methods: 60 isolates were identified with morphophysiological tests, while phospholipase production was determined using the semiquantitative method on Sabouraud dextrose agar plates supplemented with egg yolk, and susceptibility was performed using the disk diffusion method with fluconazole and voriconazole. Results: 95,5% of C. albicans were sensitive to fluconazole and voriconazole, while C. tropical and C. parapsilosis showed 100% sensitivity to both azoles. 14 strains of C. albicans had the highest production of phospholipase with 23,3% while the lowest was C. tropical with 25%. Conclusions: there was a high sensitivity to fluconazole and voriconazole in the isolates of Candida species. While 100% of C. albicansshowed phospholipase production.
