In the work, there are frequent word formations typical of the Lorin dialect, through which the author portrays the environment of the actions and the characteristics of the hero Sako. Our goal is to examine different layers of the lexicon in the poem “Loretsi Sakon”. \nIn the article, we conducted a study of the different layers of vocabulary in Hovhannes Tumanyan's poem “Loretsi Sakon”: dialect words, colloquial expressions, borrowed terms that have entered dialects, various linguistic complexities, repeated words, and onomatopoeic words. These elements help the author create a more vivid depiction of the Lori environment and reveal the character traits of the shepherd, Sako. \nThe following conclusions have been drawn as a result of the research. \n \nUpon studying the poem's vocabulary, we discovered that the author frequently employs typical words from the Lori region. \nSome words used are borrowed from other languages such as Persian, Arabic, and Turkish. \nTo depict nature and enhance style, the proper nouns used in the poem were personified. \nThroughout the work, we observed specific complexities in the Lori dialect with particular semantic implications that cannot be substituted by equivalent words in the literary language. \nThe poem exhibits frequent repetition of words. The author utilised existing Lori repeated words. \nThe poem's lexicon includes numerous sound-imitating words.
