Each group of semen was divided into three groups, incubated at 37°C for 1 h, chilled at 4°C for 4 h, or frozen for 24 h. Five replicates were performed. Sperm quality was evaluated, including motility, viability, and functional membrane integrity. The SO1.25 group achieved the highest sperm quality rate among the treatment groups, and the extender did not have a negative effect compared to the control. However, the total replacement of egg yolk with sesame oil in an extender resulted in the lowest sperm quality. The journal''s scope includes the study of reproductive physiology and endocrinology, reproductive cycles, natural and artificial control of reproduction, preservation and use of gametes and embryos, pregnancy and parturition, infertility and sterility, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. The Editorial Board of Animal Reproduction Science has decided not to publish papers in which there is an exclusive examination of the in vitro development of oocytes and embryos; however, there will be consideration of papers that include in vitro studies where the source of the oocytes and/or development of the embryos beyond the blastocyst stage is part of the experimental design.
