The GC content was 37.1%. The genome encoded 135 functional genes, including 90 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that <em>E. glabripetalus</em> was clustered with other <em>Elaeocarpus</em> species and was a sister to <em>E. sylvestris</em>.
