Open retroperitoneal removal was advised, but the patient was too frail for open surgery and was lost to follow-up. She returned three years later with persistent, purulent drainage from the eroded tract. A tine-by-tine excision procedure was chosen and performed under moderate sedation to great success. Appropriate wound healing was confirmed one month postoperatively. This case demonstrates an uncommon lower extremity venous stent removal approach in the context of foreign body migration within a chronic wound.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":72235,"journal":{"name":"Annals of vascular surgery. Fractionated extraction of extruding lower extremity arteriovenous fistula venous Wallstent
