COCCYDYNIA- THE EFFICACY OF REHABILITATION PROTOCOLS- A CASE SERIES.

Coccydynia is a painful condition of the tail-bone region. It affects the activities of daily living mainly involving long periods of sitting. Several different treatment options have been reported in the literature but with variable outcomes. The objective of this prospective case series was to assess the outcomes of conservative treatment for patients with coccydynia. Patients clinically and radio-graphically diagnosed with coccydynia underwent a set of rehabilitation protocols. They were assessed pre-treatment and 3 months post-treatment on the basis of visual analogue scale and Oswestry low back disability questionnaire.The results of the case series suggest that the conservative treatment offer excellent outcome.
