Abstract: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition of glucose intolerance in pregnant women who have not previously been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, resulting in an increase in blood sugar levels during pregnancy (Allehdan, 2019). Gestational diabetes mellitus is a common pregnancy complication and can only be diagnosed at a gestational age of more than 20 weeks. Pregnant women with Miletus diabetes are at risk of gaining weight rapidly and generally also experience complications during the delivery process and are at risk of giving birth to babies with excess weight (macrosomia), giving birth to premature babies or physical disabilities. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) stated that in 2019 it was reported that 86% of pregnancies had diabetes complications, of which 7% were gestational diabetes mellitus (Ningsih, 2019).
