The primary purpose of the study is to examine these three components may relate to the classroom motivation of Korean university EFL listening class students. \nMethods This was a quantitative study, using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and interview as well. A total of 22 Korean university EFL listening class students participated in the study. A total of 15 survey ques-tionnaires taken from SDT were administered in English and Korean. \nResults Findings of the study showed that these Korean university students were mostly driven by a sense of self-autonomy in developing their motivation to learn. A sense of competence or relatedness were of lesser im-portance in enhancing motivation. \nConclusions The study concluded with a discussion of study implications and limitations. Korean University EFL Listening Class Students Perceptions of Autonomy, Competence and Relatedness on the Classroom Motivation
