Saat ini wakaf mengalami perkembangan dalam sistem penghimpunan dan pengelolahannya. Salah-satunya berupa wakaf tunai, dimana dengan adanya wakaf tunai, maka wakaf tidak hanya terbatas pada barang dan benda, meskipun wakaf tunai masih menjadi perdebatan dikalangan ulama. Di Indonesia sendiri wakaf tunai diatur dengan mengelurkan Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia tanggal 11 Mei 2002 terkait diperbolehkan wakaf tunai, hal ini kemudian dikuatkan dengan legalitas hukum melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 2004 yang mengatur bolehnya wakaf uang bukan hanya terbatas pada benda atau barang. Merujuk kepada pendapat ulama yang memperbolehkan wakaf tunai dan legalitas hukum di Indonesia, pendayagunaan wakaf tunai sangat diperlukan melalui pengelolahan dan pengembangan, melihat sisi manfaat yang dihasilakan dari pendayagunaan wakaf tunai sangat besar bagi umat islam, umumnya seluruh umat manusia. \nIn the Islamic economic system, waqf is one of the most important instruments in empowering the socio-economic community. Currently waqf is experiencing developments in its collection and management system. One of them is in the form of cash waqf, where with the existence of cash waqf, waqf is not only limited to goods and objects, although cash waqf is still being debated among scholars. In Indonesia, cash waqf is regulated by issuing a Fatwa from the Indonesian Ulema Council dated May 11, 2002 regarding the permissibility of cash waqf. This was later strengthened by legality through Law Number 41 of 2004 which regulates that cash waqf is not only limited to objects or goods. Pendayagunaan Wakaf Uang dalam Hukum Islam dan Undang-Undang Wakaf
