It discusses various policies and programs, including those established by the US Department of Health and Welfare (HHS), the U.S. Department of Education, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the NHTSA regarding children with special needs, the categorization of disabilities in children, and their various health care requirements. The article then discusses the functions of other bodies, starting with the IEP (Individualized Education Program), which is tailored to each kid and includes details on the services and goals that each student will get in terms of education.
