TO THE SUBJECT OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AT FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES

Постановка задачи. В это непростое для страны время, когда наша Родина испытывает внешнее давление и множественные ограничения, когда нивелируется ее роль в мировой истории и ставятся под сомнение перспективы ее развития, особое значение приобретает патриотическое воспитание подрастающего поколения, студенческой молодежи, которые смогут стать на защиту своей родной земли, своей национальной культуры, своего прошлого и будущего. Результаты. Проведенное исследование показывает, что использование определенных приемов работы с обучающимися на занятиях по иностранному языку, а именно: ознакомление студентов с достижениями когнитивной лингвистики, подтверждающими значительную степень влияния родного языка и родной культуры на формирование личности человека, с достижениями отечественной науки в области специализации обучающихся, использование краеведческого материала, применение коммуникативно ориентированных творческих заданий, дает возможность успешно осуществлять патриотическое воспитание студентов в процессе изучения предмета «Иностранный язык» в техническом университете. Выводы. Осознание студентами важной роли родного языка и родной культуры в структуре собственной личности, их ознакомление с малоизвестными страницами отечественной истории, с достижениями отечественной науки и культуры, с красотой родной природы и сокровищами родного края рождают у обучающихся чувство гордости за свою страну, за свой народ, пробуждают и укрепляют их патриотические чувства. Statement of the problem. During this difficult time for the country, when our Motherland is suffering from external pressure and multiple restrictions, when its role in the world history is being reduced and the prospects for its development are being called into question, the patriotic education of the younger generation, university students, who will be able to defend their native land, their national culture, their past and future, aquires special importance. Results. The research carried out shows that the use of the certain methods of working with students at foreign language classes, namely: familiarizing them with the achievements of cognitive linguistics that prove significant influence of the native language and native culture on the formation of man's personality, with the achievements of national science in the field of students’ specialization, using local history material, using communicatively oriented creative tasks make it possible to successfully realise students’ patriotic education in the process of studying the "Foreign language" subject at a technical university. Conclusion. Students' awareness of the important role of their native language and culture in the structure of their own personality, their acquaintance with the little-known pages of national history, with the achievements of national science and culture, with the beauty of their native nature and the treasures of their native land give students a sense of pride in their country, in their people, awaken and strengthen their patriotic feelings.
