Qualitative data allowed separating the <em>Bauhinia</em> and <em>Schnella</em> species into five pollen types according to the type of aperture and the exine ornamentation. The quantitative data of diameter, however, allowed the separation of genera and confirmed the pollen types in <em>Bauhinia</em> and <em>Schnella</em>.
