Due to the lack of systemic radiation therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma, researchers have been investigating the use of yttrium-90 (<sup>90</sup>Y) radioembolization for local-regional tumor control since the 1960s. With the development of glass and resin <sup>90</sup>Y microspheres and the durable local control, good long-term efficacy, and equivalent tumor responsiveness and tolerability of <sup>90</sup>Y-selective internal irradiation compared with alternative therapies such as transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and sorafenib, <sup>90</sup>Y radioembolization has gradually been applied in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma of all stages. Applications of Yttrium-90 (90Y) in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

-Studies containing in vivo animal model data will be considered favorably.
-Tissue microarray analyses will not be considered except in cases where they are supported by comprehensive biological studies involving multiple cell lines.
-Biomarker association studies will be considered only when validated by comprehensive in vitro data and analysis of human tissue samples.
-Studies utilizing publicly available data (e.g. GWAS/TCGA/GEO etc.) should add to the body of knowledge about a specific disease or relevant phenotype and must be validated using the authors’ own data through replication in an independent sample set and functional follow-up.

-Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) studies will not be considered.
