An annotated checklist of supertribe Bariditae Schönherr, 1833 (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Conoderinae) in southeastern Baltic region
Detailed faunistic data on species composition of the supertribe Bariditae in Lithuania, Latvia, and the Kaliningrad Region (Russia) is presented. A critical review of the literature data on this taxonomic group in the study area is made. In total, the presence of six species comprising four genera, Limnobaris dolorosa, L. t-album, Aulacobaris lepidii, Baris artemisiae, B. nesapia, and Melanobaris laticollis, was confirmed for the studu area by the recent material. Two species, Aulacobaris coerulescens and A. picirostris, could not be confirmed, and four species, Baris spitzyi, Malvaevora timida, Melanobaris carbonaria, and M. dalmatina, are proposed for removal from the faunal list of the studied area. Information on the distribution, phenology and biology of each of confirmed species is provided and supplemented with the regional distribution maps, habitus illustrations of all confirmed species, and a brief discussion on the important diagnostic morphological characters. The record of Baris nesapia Faust, 1887 from Lithuania is first for the southeastern Baltic region.
