Among close contacts, 60.8% (95% CI: 57.8-62.3) did not use masks during their contact. No significant differences were observed between genders or across age groups (p=0.497 and p=0.536, respectively). Factors linked to mask non-compliance included the home setting, indoor spaces without ventilation, and closer physical distances (p<0.001).</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Our findings indicate that mask adherence was notably lower among close contacts exposed to higher risk.
