Through animal model experimentations, it has been demonstrated to reduce systemic side effects and enhance treatment effectiveness. This review presents current strategies for kidney disorder treatment, emphasizing site-specific targeting critical to renal disease pathophysiology. Recent advancements in nano-drug delivery systems for kidney targeting are explored.
