Liver biopsies were carried out at after 12 weeks of administering an ozone/oxygen gas mixture.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The mean stage of fibrosis decreased from 1.98 to 1.41 and the mean grade of inflammation decreased from 10.08 to 7.94, both with a p value less than 0.001. After 12 weeks of treatment, mean PCR values increased.
