Materials and research methods. Occupational standards that determine the responsibilities of specialists, the competencies of specialists for their implementation. The results of inspections of medical and pharmaceutical organizations by regulatory and supervisory authori- ties, the results of an expert review by insurance organizations of compliance with the procedure for providing medical care, clinical recommendations, standards of medical care, the validity of prescribing drugs to privileged categories of citizens, and the results of an internal audit of the organization. The following methods were used in the study: situational-logical, content analysis, structural, systemic, statistical and computer technologies. Results. The educational organizations that implement programs of additional profession- al education, as well as training centers of health authorities, professional asso- ciations of medical and pharmaceutical workers can carry out assessment of the level of possession of professional competencies of medical and pharmaceutical workers. Unfortunately, this variety of ways does not always allow obtaining a complete picture of the possession of professional competencies by medical and pharmaceutical workers. In 2021, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation granted the Tyumen Medical University the right to create a Federal Innovation Platform - The Center for Independent Assessment Of Medical And Pharmaceutical Employee Competence. The goal of the Center is to identify and eliminate the lack of professional competencies of medical and pharmaceu- tical workers. Conclusion.
