The formulated problems of this study were: (1) What are students’ difficulties found in listening at the student college of the English education department? (2) How the factors that cause the difficulties students’ in listening skill at the student college of the English education department? This study employed the qualitative research approve with case study method. Qualitative method was chosen because this study aims to analysis cases of students difficulties in listening skills. The participants of the research are 29 students from 2nd semester of English education department. Collecting the data of analysis the students difficulties in listening skills were obtained by observation, questionnaire, interviews. The result of the study showed students difficulties in listening skill there are four characteristic. The first characteristic is characteristic of the message, second characteristic of the delivery, the third is characteristic of the listener and the last is characteristic of the environment. Moreover, factors influenced are internal and external factors. 摘要

研究的目的是找出学生在听力学习中主要面临的困难,并找出造成学生听力学习困难的因素。本研究提出的问题是(1) 英语教育系学生学院的学生在听力方面遇到了哪些困难?(2)造成英语教育系学生学院学生听力困难的因素是什么?本研究采用个案研究法进行定性研究。之所以选择定性研究法,是因为本研究旨在分析学生在听力技能方面遇到困难的案例。本研究的参与者是英语教育系第二学期的 29 名学生。通过观察、问卷调查和访谈收集数据,分析学生在听力技能方面遇到的困难。研究结果表明,学生的听力困难有四个特点。第一个特点是信息的特点,第二个特点是传递的特点,第三个特点是听者的特点,最后一个特点是环境的特点。此外,影响因素还包括内部因素和外部因素。内部因素包括身体状况和动机,外部因素包括环境、演讲者和材料等便利因素。
