The interjections are prototypical means of expressing the category of emotiveness. This category denotes the emotional state or attitude of the speaker to the reality. The categorical interaction of emotivity and causativity — a category that has the meaning of “incitement to action or change of state” — is described. In the emotive area of modification the causator acts upon the object of causation in order to change their emotional state. An analysis is made of the interaction of emotive causatives, interpreted as verbs with the semes of causation and emotiveness, with Spanish interjections in the framework of a situation of emotional modification causation.
