COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF VARIOUS METHODS OF EXTRACTION OF RAW MATERIALS LOVAGE LEAVES
Lovage officinalis (Levisticum officinale W.D.J. Koch) is widespread in the Russian Federation, but is currently not an official medicinal plant. Lovage leaves are a promising medicinal plant material containing a wide range of biologically active substances (BAS), represented by essential oils, coumarins, tannins, flavonoids and their glycosidated derivatives, phenolcarboxylic acids, polysaccharides. Combining the entire spectrum of biologically active substances in a complex extraction from raw materials is possible using the innovative "cascade" method of phased extraction with the sequential use of extractants represented by ethyl alcohol of various concentrations and distilled water. The "cascade" method makes it possible to achieve a significant increase in the yield of extractives in comparison with the monoextraction of raw materials with various extractants, carried out according to the pharmacopoeial method. The maximum yield is achieved when using raw materials dried in isothermal mode at a temperature of 35 C. For air-shadow drying raw materials, the yields of extractives are 42% higher than when using a single extraction with 95% ethyl alcohol, and 52% higher than when extracting water.
