Helmi","doi":"10.47732/adb.v3i1.318","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":": This research aims to find out what the actual approach and model for evaluating the Islamic religious education curriculum in madrasas is. The type of research used includes literature review research and is supported by the results of direct field research to explore data. The research results obtained show that the school uses a scientific approach in the PAI curriculum. The scientific approach is an approach designed to emphasize the active role of students in the learning process by going through several stages starting with observing, formulating problems, associating, and drawing conclusions to be communicated simultaneously. Meanwhile, the curriculum evaluation model is through assessments carried out by teachers through cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The application of the three aspects above is included in the preparation of the RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) which is prepared by the teacher each semester. As supporting data, a literature search was also carried out on similar discussions. Based on the results of the study by Filla Dlia'a Umaroh et al. found that MTs Ummul Quro uses the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP). Curriculum planning at MTs Ummul Quro, in this stage they use an approach that focuses on character building of students and the educational unit environment. At the curriculum evaluation stage, because MTs Ummul Quro still uses KTSP, the cognitive assessment uses tests.
