This study focuses on analyzing the learning, reflections and experiences of the association. Its mission is to create networks and its vision is to strengthen and develop nursing leadership.Methods: A qualitative approach including in-depth interviews, documentary analysis and participant observation was used to understand organizational processes and dynamics. Three key challenges were identified in the consolidation process: overcoming economic barriers, attracting active members, and addressing the diversity of member profiles and occupations. These challenges were successfully addressed through specific strategies.Results: The association has experienced significant growth from 9 founding members to 35 active members. Three subcommittees were established and have carried out training activities, congresses, conferences, workshops and more. The association has become a reference in nursing leadership at a national and international level, establishing strategic alliances and publishing a book on nursing leadership. In addition, a mentoring and training program in team development has been implemented.Conclusions: The Asociación Civil Líderes Enfermeros has achieved significant growth and has had a positive impact on the professional development of its members. It has strengthened networks and strategic alliances, contributing to the literature on nursing leadership and promoting mentoring and team development. Future prospects for internationalization, research and policy advocacy in nursing are highlighted.
