Tamoxifen is known mainly as a drug used in the treatment of estrogen receptor-dependent breast cancer. Despite the discovery of this effective and profitable property many years ago and the constant expansion of related applications and patents, completely new ways of using tamoxifen and its derivatives in various fields continue to appear, and the number of patents for novel applications unrelated to breast cancer remains high.
