本文描述了非洲热带地区坦桑尼亚Lixini部落的新属Borisius gen. 11和新种Borisius korotyaevi sp. 11。通过以下特征组合可以很容易地识别出该新属:触角棒极长且呈纺锤状，前额有两个突出的脊，呈三角形分叉的前角，前额缩窄，有两个侧突，第三鞘翅间在基部第五分之一处强烈凸起，肱骨肿胀，股骨具齿。
An exceptional new weevil genus and species (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) from Tanzania
