Histologically, characteristic multinodular growth of discrete tooth germ-like structures supported the non-neoplastic hamartomatous nature of the lesion. The pattern and degree of syndecan-1 and D2-40 immunoexpression in the epithelial component varied, probably reflecting different stages of maturation.
