SPECIFICS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE FORMATION OF CHANNELS OF PERCEPTION AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INTELLIGENCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN
The article presents results of a psychological study that focuses on the polymodality of the student’s perception as an important aspect of the learning and cognitive process in elementary school. It is known that the development of intellect is the main purpose of education at all stages of schooling, however, perception is also actively developed at primary school age. Therefore, we decided to conduct a formative lesson-experiment aimed at developing the visual and auditory perception of elementary school students. Since the program of the formative experiment included mobile and didactic games, we chose physical education lessons to implement our plan. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that, using the natural need for movement, it is possible to develop the modalities of perception of younger students in the conditions of educational activity, without tearing them away from the educational process. The article presents a correlation between intelligence and the auditory and visual perception of younger students. We found that by developing the modalities of a child’s perception through a combination of outdoor and didactic games, it is possible to influence the overall level of mental development of younger students. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that it is important to develop the above modalities of perception at that particular stage of schooling
