Methods: A search was performed in Pubmed using "Watson's theory" AND Nursing as criteria. Eighteen relevant open access English and Spanish articles that met the established requirements were selected. Results: The Theory promotes a holistic approach to nursing, addressing the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of patients. It emphasizes establishing a relationship of trust, respect and emotional connection, considering cultural diversity and creating an environment conducive to healing.
