In this study, collect the data used observation, writing test, and documentation. The result shows there were 328 items of error in the students’ writing. The percentage of errors made by students in writing descriptive text are noun phrase 49,7%, verb phrase36,3%, adjective phrase 8,8%and adverb phrase5,2%. The writer finds that the grammar errors that most of the students made were in noun phrases, with a cumulative total of 163 errors or 49.7%. From the research findings, it is suggested learners have to use these errors as a means to study more about correct the use of grammar in descriptive texting, especially in the use of noun phrases, verb phrases, and adjectives. 摘要

本研究的目的是找出学生在写作描述性文本时最常出现的语法。本研究采用定量和定性相结合的方法。本研究对象为穆罕默德迪亚大学学生英语系。作者选择了23名学生作为样本。在本研究中,通过观察、编写测试和文档收集数据。结果表明,学生写作中有328项错误。学生在描述文本写作中的错误率依次为名词短语49.7%、动词短语36.3%、形容词短语8.8%和副词短语5.2%。笔者发现,学生犯的语法错误以名词短语居多,累计错误163个,占49.7%。从研究结果来看,建议学习者以这些错误为手段,更多地学习如何在描述性文本中正确使用语法,特别是在名词短语、动词短语和形容词的使用方面。对于教师来说,在名词短语和动词短语上要更加努力,因为它们是学生在写作中最常犯的错误。
