On the effectiveness of combined methods of disinfection of swimming pool water
Various chemical compounds (chlorine, chloroactive agents, bromine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, silver nanoparticles) are used to disinfect swimming pool water. To increase the reliability of disinfection it is advisable to combine chemical methods with ultraviolet radiation (UV). This makes it possible to significantly increase the processing efficiency at significantly lower material costs. A review of the studied combined methods of disinfection of swimming pool water showed that the most promising are combinations of UV radiation with compounds of oxidative action and metal oxide nanoparticles. For their widespread use, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the development of effective application modes with justification of the safety of treated water for people when it penetrates the body. Keywords: water disinfection of swimming pools, drinking water, ultraviolet radiation, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, silver nanoparticles, maximum permissible concentration, toxicity.
