Digital storytelling integrates technology into the classroom to facilitate the learning process. Especially in English language learning, this method supports the improvement of students' English language skills. This study aims to identify students' perceptions of digital storytelling to improve students' speaking skills at an Indonesian Islamic college. This mixed-method study involved 30 second-semester students at Datokarama State Islamic University in Palu. Quantitative data using questionnaires were analysed based on percentages while qualitative data in the form of interviews were analysed with three stages, namely, data reduction, display, and verification. Five aspects of perception are of concern in this study, namely attitude, motivation, interest, experience, and expectations. The research results from the five aspects prove that students have a positive perception of the use of digital storytelling in improving their speaking skills. 摘要

数字讲故事是一种将讲故事的艺术与各种形式的数字媒体(如视频、图像、文本等)相结合的方法。数字讲故事将技术融入课堂,促进学习过程。特别是在英语语言学习中,这种方法支持学生英语语言技能的提高。本研究旨在了解印尼一所伊斯兰学院学生对数字讲故事的看法,以提高学生的口语技能。这项混合方法研究涉及帕卢达托卡拉马州立伊斯兰大学的30名第二学期学生。采用问卷形式的定量数据采用百分比法进行分析,采用访谈形式的定性数据采用数据还原、展示、验证三个阶段进行分析。本研究关注感知的五个方面,即态度、动机、兴趣、经验和期望。五个方面的研究结果证明,学生对使用数字讲故事提高自己的口语技能有积极的看法。数字讲故事使学生更容易理解材料,给他们在课堂上互动和合作的信心,并创造一个有趣的学习过程。
