An Electronically Switchable Ferrite Circulator with Nanosecond Transition Time
A new principle for switchable circulators is presented. Circulation sense is reversed by means of semiconductors in the RF circuit instead of reversing the magnetic bias field. A circulator is realized with a transition time of one nanosecond.
