The behavior of stator current and fault loop current can be clearly explained during SWITF at different fault severities and operating conditions by using this method. In addition, an novel indicator is proposed for SWITF for early fault detection. In order to validate this theoretical approach, an induction motor model with SWITF using dq model is developed.
