Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle melalui organisasi DDI. Hal ini dapat ditelusuri melalui sejarah awal dan perkembangan DDI yang ditunjukkan oleh ketokohan KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle melalui ide pembaharuan atau gerakan tajdid terkhusus dalam bidang pendidikan. Jurnal ini melihat ketokohan KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle dari sisi pendidikan. Pembacaan tersebut dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui peran sang tokoh dalam peta peran pemikirannya dalam dunia pendidikan. Hal utama yang ingin dikaji dalam jurnal ini adalah korelasi ketokohan KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle dan sistem pendidikan pesantren di Indonesia. Korelasi DDI dan Pesantren dikaji dengan menggunakan pembahasan model simplifikasi kategoris pada tiga indikator fungsi dan peran DDI, yaitu sebagai lembaga pendidikan dan pengembangan ajaran Islam, sebagai lembaga perjuangan dan dakwah Islamiyah, dan sebagai lembaga pemberdayaan dan pengabdian masyarakat. Dari ketiga kategori itulah dapat diketahui bahwa KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle adalah sosok yang mampu merespon tantangan terkininya secara cepat dan tepat melalui gerakan tajdid (pembaharuan) dalam bidang pendidikan, dakwah, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat Indonesia. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle in the World of Education AbtractThe Islamic renewal movement in Indonesia cannot be separated from the figure of KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle through the DDI organization. This can be traced through the early history and development of DDI shown by the character of KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle through the idea of renewal or the tajdid movement, especially in the field of education. This journal looks at the character of KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle in terms of education. The reading is intended to determine the character’s role in the map of his thinking in the world of education. The main thing to be studied in this journal is the correlation of KH's characterbetweenAbdurrahman Ambo Dalle and the pesantren education system in Indonesia. The correlation between DDI and Pesantren is studied by using a discussion of the categorical simplification model on three indicators of the function and role of DDI, namely as an educational institution and the development of Islamic teachings, as an institution for Islamic struggle and da'wah, and as an institution for empowerment and community service. From the three categories, it can be seen that KH. Abdurrahman Ambo Dalle is a figure who is able to responcanatest challenges quickly and precisely through the tajdid (renewal) movement in the fields of education, da'wah, and empowerment of the Indonesian people.Keywords: KH.
