The work of the spring electric drive for defectoscopes (SED) is based on the fact that the resistance to magnetic flux changes when longitudinal and transverse defects appear on the inner and outer surfaces of the product. As a result of this effect, when the SED moves inside the product on the spring winding as a result of changes in the circuit current, a signal appears that determines the location and parameters of the defects.
