It was designed with three objectives in mind. The first was to keep graduate students abreast of the requirements to be met for an advanced degree. The second objective was to aid the Office of Graduate Studies and the Registrar in certifying the completion of requirements for advanced degrees. Thirdly, the system was designed so that information retrieval for various colleges, departments and federal agencies could be accomplished without a time-consuming manual search of student records.A description of the software and data files is given, as well as a description of the major report forms produced by the system.
